New Project for Robert Pattinson

La rumeur prend de l'ampleur depuis hier, elle est aujourd'hui confirmée par ETCanada: Robert Pattinson jouera dans l'adaptation cinématographique du roman de Don DeLillo, Cosmopolis. Rob y interprètera le personnage principal: Eric Packer. David Cronenberg réalisera le film.

Synopsis du livre:

Cosmopolis Avril 2000. Eric Packer, golden boy comblé qui dirige une influente société de courtage, traverse New York dans sa limousine. Il pose sur le monde qui l'entoure un regard désenchanté, tout en parcourant la ville que paralysent progressivement une série de manifestations collectives. Dans cette atmosphère d'apocalypse, reviennent le hanter des souvenirs qui le conduisent à reconsidérer son existence et à s'interroger sur la personne qu'il est désormais. Mais il est trop tard : l'homme postmoderne qui voulait se suffire à lui-même n'a plus accès à la réalité qui le frappe alors de plein fouet.

Confirmed by ETCanada: Rob will play the role of Eric Packer in the adaptation of the novel Cosmopolis, written by Don DeLillo. David Cronenberg will be the director.

Cosmopolis is the story of Eric Packer, a 28 year old multi-billionaire asset manager who makes an odyssey across midtown Manhattan in order to get a haircut. The stretch limo which adorns the cover of the book is richly described as highly technical and very luxurious, filled with television screens and computer monitors, bulletproofed and floored with Carrara marble.
